Police are planning several overnight sobriety checkpoints tonight, including two in Hilliard, one in Grove City, and one on Sawmill Parkway.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is planning to operate a sobriety checkpoint in Delaware and Franklin Counties Friday night into Saturday morning.

Checkpoints will take place at the following locations:

Troopers say the checkpoint will be on Sawmill Parkway, but did not specify exactly where.

A checkpoint operated by the Delaware post on July 24 on U.S. 23 resulted in the arrest of one impaired driver. Nearby saturation patrols brought in two more.

The checkpoint will be run with the assistance of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and Powell police.

Two more checkpoints are planned in the City of Hilliard.

The first will be run between 8 and 10 p.m. on Hilliard-Rome Road at Richlanne Drive.

The second will operate between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Cemetery Road east of Lacon Drive.

Nearby saturation patrols will also be used.
