Two checkpoints will take place in Grove City tonight, according to the Franklin County DUI Task Force.

The checkpoints will begin a 8 p.m. tonight and end at midnight Saturday.

The first location has been identified as Stringtown Road at Buckeye Parkway (Click for Map). The second location is Route 62 at Parlin Drive (Click for Map).

Aside from the checkpoint locations, the task force will have extra patrols throughout the county looking for impaired drivers. Officials say anyone going out and consuming alcohol should make arrangements to safely get home.

While checkpoints typically don’t result in a high number of drunken driving arrest, they raise public awareness about drinking and driving, studies show.

More than 30 law enforcement departments and other agencies are part of the county’s task force.
