Two sobriety checkpoints are planned in the northwest Columbus.

The first one will be held on Bethel Road, east of Kenny Road from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday.

The second will be on Sawmill Road, north of I-270, from 11:30 p.m. Friday until 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The Franklin County DUI Task Force is the multi-agency organization that's operating the checkpoints.

Officials remind residents that anyone consuming alcohol should plan for a designated driver or make other arrangements.
