The Columbus Division of Police is planning a checkpoint in southeast Columbus. The exact location has not yet been disclosed.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is planning a checkpoint Friday evening into Saturday morning in Franklin County. The checkpoint will be held between 8pm and 12:30am on Alum Creek Drive in the Village of Obetz.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is planning a checkpoint on Saturday night in Licking County. The exact location will be disclosed sometime on Saturday morning.

The checkpoints serve as a highly visible piece of the OVI enforcement strategy. The Franklin County DUI Task Force plans saturation patrols throughout Franklin County starting today and continuing through Labor Day.

Sobriety checkpoints are legal in Ohio as long as public notice is given that the checkpoint will be established
